Don’t Cry Over Spilt Gravy

With everyone enjoying a delicious Christmas meal, it’s easy to forget about those inevitable spillages that occur. Gravy is a festive favourite, but there’s nothing worse than spilling it on your Christmas table cloth. We recommend acting fast to clean away any gravy splashes before it has time to leave a stain. Before attempting to clean your tablecloth, check the manufacturers’ instructions to find the best way to clean it.

To tackle gravy splashes, wipe any excess gravy with a clean cloth or paper towel. Use a paper towel to absorb any further liquid by placing it over the mark and gently dabbing. If the mark is still visible, try mixing a small amount of baking soda with water to form a paste. Dab this onto the mark using a slightly damp sponge and wipe away. If your table cloth is machine washable, wash it as per the manufacturers’ instructions. Leave to dry naturally.
